Mythos Engine

The MYTHOS Consortium is developing a state-of-the-art virtual model of the core parts of a turbofan engine (High Pressure Compressor, Combustor and High Pressure Turbine) to serve as the core platform for the research activities focused on performance and emissions with Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs). With the help of High-Fidelity Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), this initiative aims will enhance the understanding of fuel behaviour in the propulsion system, a fundamental part of the objectives of the project. This will provide a cutting-edge framework for testing and validating next-generation engines, accelerating innovation in sustainable aviation.
